August 14, 2007Reviewer: A customer in Oregon* These bars are over priced. The reason I went with these bars is coz' I couldn't find better ones with no sugar and no saturated fat.
Before buying any protein bars, I recommend making them on your own. It's very simple. Look at the recipes and directions on you tube. You will find a bunch. I've to get all the ingredients and try them out myself so I save all this money.
Piece of advice - Look for the quality of proteins. Some bars might claim to have 20 grams of proteins but if it's of poor quality.. it doesn't help. Avoid bars containing more than 2 grams of saturated fat and 4 to 5 grams of sugar.
Over all, PBL bars are pretty good as far as the quality of proteins and the amount of sugar and fat is concerned. But they are OVER PRICED. If you can spend those extra dollars then I would recommend these. If not, make excellent bars on your own. This review is specific to PureOmega3 Protein Bars, Chocolate Fudge
April 25, 2007Reviewer: Nancy in Pennsylvania* The peanut butter bars are very good. They have a chewy texture. For the amount of protein that you are getting, the calorie count is great. The best part is that there are no sugar alcohols! This review is specific to PureOmega3 Protein Bars, Peanut Butter
October 12, 2006Reviewer: Brian in Massachusetts* Overall these bars are awesome. You can't go wrong with a snack that is low on sugar and fat, while high in Omega 3 and fiber. Only problem with these bars is the flavoring. They taste and smell like fish. The peanut butter flavor is fine, but the chocolate fudge flavor is tough going down. I suggest drinking a big glass of water when eating these bars to help make them more palatable.
